The range of problems and individuals the probation service oversees cannot be tackled in isolation. Because of this, some aspects of our work is undertaken in partnership with a range of other organisations from the voluntary, statutory and private sectors.

Our partnerships aim to constructively harness complementary skills and resources, thereby enhancing the services we can offer to courts, offenders and victims.

The work of the probation service is supported by around 50 partnership agreements, both funded and non funded, which provide specific expertise and knowledge.

Partnerships include:

• Employment, training and education providers
• Victim support
• Drugs rehabilitation projects
• Careers advice
• Constructive activities
