Northumbria Probation Area is part of the National Probation Service and the National Offender Management Service (NOMS). NOMS is a key agency within the Ministry of Justice.

	National Probation Service Northumbria is one of 42 probation areas and trusts within the National Probation Service for England and Wales. 	National Offender Management Service (NOMS) The probation service together with the prison services forms the National Offender Management Service (NOMS), which was created in 2004 following a Number 10, Treasury and Home Office review of correctional services.
